Respiratory Care

Respiratory therapists deliver therapeutic care to patients with breathing or other disorders of the cardiopulmonary status and treat accordingly. The respiratory care staff also facilitates the continued pulmonary care for patients upon their release from the hospital. JRMC is the only facility in the area that performs complete pulmonary function testing including a state-of-the-art Auto Box which performs Plethsmography, a test to see how the lungs are functioning.

What is Pulmonary Function Testing?
Pulmonary function testing is a specialized breathing test to diagnose lung diseases by evaluating how the lungs move air and oxygen.
