Gynecology & Obstetrics Providers

There’s #dozens of reasons to choose Jamestown Regional Medical Center, and one of them is its newest addition, Dr. Bailey Runkles, gynecologist and obstetrician.

Gynecologists can help with breast and hormonal problems, urinary incontinence, hot flashes, fertility treatments, high-risk pregnancies, urinary tract and pelvic disorders and cancer of the cervix. American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends that women have their first visit with an obstetrician-gynecologist between the ages of 13 and 15. Gynecologists recommend a Pap smear beginning at age 21, and then typically every three to five years.

In addition to her professional work, Dr. Runkles also has a passion for education and volunteering. She’s volunteered her time, providing relief to socioeconomically depressed communities in Virginia, offering health information and free screenings. She also assessed and treated refugees at a free clinic in the Dominican Republic.
