JRMC’s system offers low radiation doses, short exam times, high resolution, and quiet ambient noise during the exam. Its former scanner offered 64-slice images. The new system offers 128-slice images.

“There are dozens of reasons to choose JRMC, and one of them is our state-of-the-art GE Revolution CT scanner. We’re proud that it’s the only one like it in the state. We’re also proud of all of JRMC’s technological firsts, including our 3D Mammography and hyperbaric oxygen chamber,” said K.C. DeBoer, JRMC President & CEO. “We are proud of our people. A building alone is bricks and mortar. It’s our employees who are THE difference for our patients.”

A computed tomography (CT) scan uses X-rays to make detailed pictures of parts of the body and the structures inside it. The images a CT scan produces are more detailed than a conventional X-ray. CT scans can reveal internal injuries and bleeding.
